Paul T. Cross,

Paul T. Cross Jr., 87, of Richmond, VA formerly of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Hope on December 11, 2011. He was a retired civil service worker of 43 years and an Army WWII veteran with the 11th Airborne Division. He was preceded in death by his wife Lawana "Jackie" Cross and brothers, Herbert Cross, Frank Cross, and Richard Cross and a grandson, Scott Lalik. He is survived by his five children; Paulette McElroy, Bruce Cross and wife "Wanda", Paul Timothy Cross and wife "Freda", Stephen Cross and wife, "Nancy", Lawana Jellison and husband, "Doug"; 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He enjoyed his years as a locomotive engineer, a private pilot, and sailing the Bay with his wife of 56 years. He was also active in the civil air patrol. The family will receive friends 11am-1pm Friday, December 16th in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk and where funeral services will be conducted immediately following. Entombment will follow the service in the mausoleum in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Leukemia Society.
