Paulina G. McNew

Paula Goode McNew, 61, passed away on September 5, 2014. She was born in Carteret County, N.C. on January 2, 1953. Paula was a graduate from Lake Taylor High School and was employed by Sentara Health Care for almost forty years. She loved animals, especially her cats, Marilyn and Winston. Over the years in her spare time, she was a pet sitter and caregiver for the elderly.

Paula was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Louise Williams and her parents John and Louise Goode.

She is survived by her brother Peter Goode and wife Debbie and their children, John and Jenny Wada-Goode and husband Nori of Hawaii and their children, Tokujiro and Kuranosuke. Paula loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on September 13, 2014 at Third Presbyterian Church, 8065 Carlton St., Norfolk VA 23518 at 12:00pm with a reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the SPCA. You may offer your condolences at www.smithandwilliamsnorfolk.com.
