He previously worked as a sonar tech in the Navy, Deputy Sheriff, Optician, and Teacher. He was proud of his online newspaper “Norfolk Dirt”, where he was passionate about news, politics and where he had a story to tell or an opinion to give. He had a voice and wanted everyone to hear it. A hole is left in the heart of those who really knew him. He loved to make people laugh and always had a joke to play on someone. He always had a smile, drinks and snacks for when the neighborhood kids would come over to hangout with his sons. He was a faithful, dedicated loving husband, father, brother, and favorite uncle.
Left to cherish is his memory are: his loving wife of 22 years, Cheryl; two sons, Reno and Wes; father, Ramon, Sr.; five sisters Bonita, Maggie, Zanna, Natasha, and Kristina; three brothers: Ricky, Michael, and Alex; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews; and cousins, all of which were his “favorites”. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ann.
A celebration of Ramon’s life will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church. Please share your condolences with the family at www.smithandwilliamsnorfolk.com
