Rosario de Jesus Mangosing

Rosario de Jesus Mangosing, 85, of Virginia Beach, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021. Rosario is preceded in death by her parents, Fortunato and Julia de Jesus. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Juan Garcia Mangosing; son, Jack, his wife Debbie and children Danielle and Tara; daughter, Helen, her husband Bill and children Eryn and Wil; daughter Nancy, her husband Joe, and children Courtney, Stephanie, Joey and Jimmy. She is also survived by her many great grand children, Isabel, Gabriela, Ricky, Juliana, Sebastian, Sophia, Emmie, Arial and Tyson, all of whom she loved dearly. On May 24th, 1953, Rosario married Juan in Castillejos Zambales Philippines. She was a dedicated Navy wife. They were happily married for 68 loving, wonderful years. Rosario was a faithful member of St. Gregory Church and was very involved in the Zambales Association, and was a life member of the Auxiliary of VFW Post 4809. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, gardening, playing bingo and taking weekend casino trips with her friends and romantic cruises with her husband. Rosario was also a very competitive athlete. She played softball in high school. She actually taught her son Jack how to throw a ball. She was a dedicated and accomplished bowler. Even at the age of 84 she was averaging a game score of over 155. There will be a visitation on 6-14-21 from 5 – 7 PM. A funeral service will be held on 6-15-21 at 11 AM with the burial following.
