Roy Cueva Fontelera, 61, passed away in Norfolk on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Roy was born in Zambales, Philippines to the late Arturo and Elena Fontelera. Roy is cherished in memory by his loving wife of 30 years, Lelanne Fontelera; children, Leeroi Fontelera and Ken Fontelera; brother, Gil Fontelera; sister, Mila Bautista and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends. Roy completed his education in the Philippines and worked as an Engineer for the Provincial Engineer Office of Zambalas. In 1997, he immigrated to the United States and worked various technician and trades jobs. In 2010, he retired with disability. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, spending time outdoors, and watching both baseball and basketball, specifically the NY Mets and the Los Angeles Lakers.
There will be a Celebration of Life conducted at 4pm, Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. After the service the family welcomes those in attendance to stay and fellowship with them.
