Ruby K. Clark

Ruby Kennedy Clark, 85, passed away in the presence of her loving family on July 1, 2013 in Norfolk, Virginia. She was born to the late Alexander Martin and Ila Jones Hewitt Kennedy on April 18, 1928 in Lee, North Carolina. She is predeceased in death by two sister, Doris Harris and Edna Tigert.

Ruby met and married the love of her life, Frederick O. Clark in 1948, and from their union they had four children; Jennifer, Jeanette, Frederick Jr., and Eric. She was a loving and caring wife and mother, who supported her husband throughout his Navy career, and as his “boss” working in the family upholstery business. Ruby raised her children lovingly with her strong Baptist faith. Ruby always believed it was important to pass the love of Christ onto to all of her children.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 65 years, Frederick O. Clark Sr.; Four children, Jennifer Denny, Jeanette Pollard, Frederick O. Clark Jr., and Erick Clark; Nine grandchildren, Robin Ross, Robert Denny Jr., Frederick O. Clark III, Sherry Law, David Pollard, Ashley Clark, Eric Clark Jr., Ryan Clark, and Austin Clark; Fourteen great-grandchildren; Three sisters Margaret Tong, Ila Fay Robinson, and Mozelle Hicks; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She will be greatly missed by them all.

Viewing will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10AM, with funeral services to follow at 1PM; burial will be immediately after the funeral.
