Dear Ryen: You would be one year old now and I wonder what your personality would be like... what kind of young person you would be growing into. Would you have walked and talked early... I think so. Would you have been independent... yes sir!! But would you have loved me and daddy...yes.  Just know that we did everything we thought of to help you...even though some days I still feel that I failed you and for that I regret and I am sorry. It's hard to fathom some of the ways God blesses us. Jesus said to his disciples "In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy." So for now we say goodbye but we take comfort in knowing you are in heaven waiting for us. To all those who loved you, take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

I will always remember your son and how hard you fought for him. Your story is a testiment to the strength of a mothers love.

Today was a hard day for mommy...Ive tried so hard to be strong...I feel your presence all around me; I can still smell that sweet smell of your skin...I know that you are with Jesus and are in a loving and peaceful place...I just miss you so much and wish you would have had more of a healthy happy loving life here with me and daddy. Baby Ryen.. Although so far away I have thought about you often. I look at your neice and think how amazing it would have been to see ya'll play. I am to come down in a few months and see your dad and mom, and it will be so sad that you are not there. I believe you served a purpose in even your short life. And that purpose could very well change my life forever. I thank you for that. And when god called you home I know you have a very very nuturing woman taking care of you. She was my grandmother, and she just loved babies. She only met my daughter for a short months before she was called home. Please be safe with her, and know I love you.
