Sadie Pearl Price

Sadie Pearl Price, 78, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family December 9, 2012. She spent her life devoted to her family as a wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sadie enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Princess Anne Garden Club. She was also very active over the years with the Eastern Star Chapter 184, as well as Job’s Daughters Bethel 66. Sadie will always be remembered for her wonderful cooking, love of fishing, and her ticklish feet. She was the sweetest person you would ever meet. She was non-judgmental, caring, loving, and was always there for whatever you needed with a smile. Sadie was the biggest Elvis fan, and she will be greatly missed by all.

Sadie is predeceased by her brother Orval Heidebrecht. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Arthur Price; brother Leland Heidebrecht; daughters Teresa Price and Sandra O’Connor (Price); son Mark Powers; seven grandchildren Lance, Crystal, Jackie, Nicole, AJ, Jen and Kimber; and six great-grandchildren Anthony, Paige, Ryland, Leah, Piper, and Noah.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 12, from 6-8pm in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk. A service will be held Thursday, December 13, at 1pm in Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.
