Sherry Barber Hatfield, 81, passed away in Virginia Beach on Monday, October 10, 2022. Sherry was born in Virginia to the late Allan and Virginia Barber. She is also predeceased by her husband, James Louis Hatfield. Sherry was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born blind and worked as a braille transcriptionist. Sherry was also a voice teacher to go along with her career. To add to her accomplishments she even wrote her auto-biography. Sherry is cherished in memory by her daughter, Annah Vaughn Hatfield; grandson, Carter Huff; sister, Milinda Darrenbacker as well as a host of other significant family members and friends.
There will be a visitation from 4-6pm, Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm, October 17, 2022 at Kings Grant Presbyterian Church.
