Shirley T. Jackson, 76, passed this life on December 2, 2012. She was a member of Avalon Church of Christ in Virginia Beach. Shirley retired after 31 years from Civil Service. Her favorite hobbies were riding her bicycle, and being involved in church activities.
She is survived by her husband Donald E. Jackson; daughters Cathy Lerman (Steve) of Coral Springs, FL and Karen Herndon (Chris) of Alexandria, VA; and grandchildren Candace and Ryan Lerman, and Cassidy Herndon.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 6-7:30pm in Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., and where a service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Avalon Church of Christ Building Fund, 844 Woodstock Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
