Shirley was born March 22, 1949. To the late Thomas and Aline Robbins, Sr. A resident of Norfolk, VA. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Keith. Shirley graduated from Granby High School in 1968.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Big Ed; two daughters, Tammy and Melanie; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Jamiyah. Shirley was very close with her brother John and sister-in-law Debbie.
A visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 1pm, with funeral service to begin at 2pm, followed by committal within the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Khedive Temple Road Runners Club at 757-420-4510 in honor of Shirley and Ed McAlpine.
There will not be any fellowship following the services.
