Susan Anne Paulsen, 95 ,of Virginia Beach, VA, formerly of Basking Ridge, NJ, went up to Heaven, to be with God, on June 28, 2021. She was born in Wilkes Barre, PA, to the late Theresa and Frank Pracher. She then moved to Bayonne, NJ, where she met the love of her life, Robert Dale Paulsen. She was married to Robert on October 13, 1956, and was happily married for 35 years, and then he went up to Heaven. Susan also had one sister and 5 brothers, who are all up in Heaven.
Susan had several professions. She was a LPN in Wilkes Barre, PA; she worked as a Hostess/Manager for The Summit Suburban Hotel in Summit, NJ; and she provided childcare to families in private homes in NJ.
Susan was a devoted Catholic and was dedicated to her church. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and St. James Catholic Church, both in NJ. Susan enjoyed going to Casinos and playing Bingo. She was a beautiful, loving, caring, sweet, thoughtful, sensitive and funny lady. She would always put her family and other people’s needs first. Her laughter and joyful energy was infectious to everyone around her and those she met, and she had a wonderful sense of humor.
Susan will always be loved so very much and remembered by her daughter, Theresa M. Hanson; Son-In-Law, Dana Hanson; Son, Robert M. Paulsen; Daughter-In-Law, Tracy Paulsen; 5 Grandchildren, Chelsea Lynn Hanson, Melodee Marie Hanson, Robert Vincent Paulsen, Anthony Richard Paulsen and step Grandchild, Kristin Rudnicki.
