ADD A MEMORYKatherine Phillips
January 7, 2021
Aunt Sylvia I will miss you. My heartfelt condolences to Uncle Marlin, my cousins, their family and friends.
I wanted to share a story or two. I was showing Aunt Sylvia’s picture to my grandson Wyatt who is 2 almost 3. He said, “That’s not your Aunt. That’s Mom Mom. “. He was adamant that it was Mom Mom. I told him that I’m Mom Mom. He said he knew but she was his Mom Mom too. The way he looked at her picture really touched me. He’s actually never met her but it was as if he knew her.
One time at a family reunion she brought a cottage cheese pie and made an extra one just for my husband; her birthday twin, to take home because she knew how much he enjoyed it. Yes, she made sure I had the recipe.
It’s these memories and others that I will hold on to.
