Thomas M. Nowland

Born in Joliet, Illinois, on October 13, 1954, Thomas lived a life full of dedication, laughter, and love. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and, after retirement, enjoyed spending time in his own garage working on projects and fixing things for others. He was known for his strong faith, his devotion to his family, and his love for Elvis Presley.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Carmelita “Anna” Nowland; his children, Teresa May Gonzalez (Manny), Christopher Michael Nowland (Fatima), Michael Mark Nowland (Sheila), and John Edward Nowland (Olivia); his grandchildren, Marisela Settle (Tucker), Arianna Gonzalez, Yasmeen Gonzalez, Xerenah Gonzalez, Joseph Nowland, and Karsten Nowland; and his great-grandson Luke Tucker Settle.

He will be remembered for his warm heart, steady presence, and the love he poured into his family.
