Obituary of Virginia B Robison
Faye Robison Harris, 82, passed away at Westminster Canterbury on October 15, 2012. Born on April 1, 1930, in Waycross GA, daughter of the late Annie Faye Henderson Bethune and Henry Grady Bethune of Waycross, GA. For the past eight years she has been a resident of Westminster Canterbury in Virginia Beach, VA. Faye was appreciative of the staff’s consistent and energetic care. She considered Westminster Canterbury home and leaves many close friends. Faye is survived by one brother, Henry Lamar Bethune, and children David Blake Robison and his wife Connie Robison, of Nokesville, VA; Michael Coy Robison and his wife Margaret Laird Robison, of Stuarts Draft, VA; Don Grady Robison and his wife Donna Latsko Robison of Norfolk, VA; Hope Robison Clayton and husband David Clayton of Valdese, NC; and step daughter Joy Reinicke and husband Kaynee Reinicke, of Norfolk, VA. She was also survived by 11 treasured grandchildren: Brook Ann Robison, Jessica Hope Robison, Joshua Ryan Robison, Jessica Reinicke, Katherine Faye Robison, Jonathan Latsko Robison, Jeremiah Blake Robison, Jacob Robison Clayton, Aaron Michael Clayton, Ansel Scott Clayton, and Corporal Joshua Reinicke, USMC. Faye will be remembered as a compassionate and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She considered her most important life tasks to be providing a loving home for her family and raising her children with strong values to be good people and productive citizens. She enjoyed her years as a Navy wife. She traveled widely, enjoyed gardening, and loved to play bridge. She was a long time member of Community United Methodist Church of Virginia Beach where she actively participated in the Robert Rose Circle and the Fellowship Sunday School class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Commander Delma Coy Robison, USN Retired; and her second husband of 11 years, Captain James Wesley Harris, USN Retired; and by her brother Raymond Bethune. The family of Faye Robison Harris wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the many acts of kindness shown to them during their time of loss. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be given to Westminster Canterbury Foundation Employee Emergency Fund. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, Oct 20, in the Westminster Canterbury Chapel, to be followed by a reception of friends and family in the Bayview Room of Westminster Canterbury.
