Virginia T. Wilkinson

Virginia T. “Ginny” Wilkinson, 92, passed February 5, 2015. Ginny was an avid dancer with the City of Norfolk Parks & Recreation Department. She loved all animals, especially her cat, Piccolo. Ginny had numerous hobbies, including playing the organ, exercising and feeding the wildlife. She enjoyed her circle of friends. Ginny was also a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Norfolk, Virginia where she taught children’s Sunday school. She was a retired bookkeeper for the City of Norfolk and Goodwill Industries.

Ginny is predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Wilkinson. She is survived by her sons, Dennis and his wife Linda; Charles and his wife Dawn all of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren Kim Jordan, Wayne Wilkinson and Maura Pratt; and two great-grandchildren, Courtney Wilkinson and Zachary Jordan.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, February 7, 2015 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
