Vivian Michelle Newkirk

Quietly and peacefully, God called Vivian Michelle Newkirk to come into his loving care. No more sickness, no more pain.

Vivian Michelle Newkirk passed away on August 17, 2016. She was born to Willie J. Brown and the late Lethia Mae Brown in Norfolk, VA. Vivian was educated in the Norfolk Public School system. After high school, Vivian attended nursing school at Tidewater Community College. She graduated and began her nursing career as an LPN. Vivian always loved helping people; that was her passion.

Vivian was the ninth born of twelve children. She had a big heart and would do whatever it took to help in any situation.

Vivian Michelle Newkirk was married to Charles L. Newkirk for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. Elliot and Rebecca Shedrick; mother, Lethia Mae Brown; sisters, Evelyn F. Rooks and Rachel L. Tynes; and brother, Willie J. Brown, Jr..

Vivian leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 20 years, Charles L. Newkirk; father, Willie J. Brown, Sr.; sisters, Carolyn A. Broom (Allan), Gloria J. Henson (Jesse), Nancy Y. Randall (Norman), Elizabeth L. Dawson (Alvin), Betty L. Branch (Clarence), Arlene C. Stanley; brothers, Daniel K. Brown (Priscilla) and Samuel K. Brown (Monica); three step-sons, Rasheen Newkirk, Rashaad Newkirk, and Charles Newkirk, Jr.; nine grandchildren of Buffalo, NY; uncles and aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
