

Born in North Carolina to Nina Griffin and Roy Bullock, Bill grew up with a strong sense of duty and commitment that carried him through 22 years of service in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1986 as a Mess Management Specialist, First Class. After his military service, Bill went on to work for 20 years at Diamond Hill Plywood, where he retired in 2007.
Beyond his work, Bill’s greatest pride was his family. He shared 48 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Kathleen. He is survived by his children, William Lowe (grandchildren William and Sydney) and Carolyn Beebe (husband Erik, grandchildren Matthew and Adam). He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Thiese of North Carolina and Patricia Ann Lawson of Florida. Bill was preceded in death by his brothers Acey, Warren, and Tommy, and his sisters Mary, Mildred, and Louise.
Bill will be remembered for his dedication, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for those closest to him.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, October 2nd from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
