William "Bubba" Holland, 69, passed away December 28, 2010. A native of Norfolk, VA, he was born to the late James T. Holland and Elsie Twiford Holland. Bubba, or "Wild Bill" as he was often referred to as, served in the U.S. Army and worked for many years as a dispatcher for both Yellow Cab and Norfolk Checker Taxi. He is predeceased by both his parents as well as one brother, Kenneth W. Holland. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Helena Pettine-Holland. Bubba is also survived by his son, Thomas A. Forhand, his two daughters; Christine Giles and Lynn-Marie Allen, one brother, John R. Holland, and five grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on January 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. 6329 Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk, VA.
