William John Mathews

William John Mathews, 89, passed away on Friday morning in Yorktown, VA. William was born in Findlay, OH to the late Earl and Helen Mathews. He was also predeceased from his wife, Caridad Mathews; daughter, Yolanda Garrison (Charles) and his granddaughter, Patricia Lowe. William retired from the US Air Force. After his service to his country he continued to work as a Lithographer for both General Foam Plastics and Sears as well. He is survived in memory by his children, John Mathews (Anabel) and Joseph Mathews (Janet); grandchildren, Michael, Thomas (Sheronda), Justin, Alice Bouthillette (Michael) and Charlene Garrison as well as great grandchildren, Samantha, Andrew, Kaitylynn, Kaili and Shelby.

There will be a service conducted at 2pm, Friday, April 23, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home with visitation starting one hour prior at 1pm. Interment will immediately follow the funeral services at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.woodlawnnorfolk.com.
