William G. McMahon, 80, passed away April 25, 2010 at his residence. Mr. McMahon was born December 24, 1929, in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of William McMahon and Margaret Bollens. He served 30 years in the US Navy and 15 years in Civil Service. William was a member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife Cecilia (Albert) McMahon; two sons, William G. McMahon Jr. of Warner Robins, GA and Michael McMahon of Virginia Beach; a sister, Julianne Martin of Phildelphia, PA; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held Thursday April 29, 2010 at 1 pm at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk.
