William "Mr. Bill" Alfred Troutman
April 25, 1934 – October 24, 2022

William Alfred Troutman, also known as Mr. Bill, has passed on Monday, October 24, 2022.
He leaves to join his wife of 56 years, Frances Troutman. William was born on April 25, 1934 in Bradford, Pennsylvania to the late Alfred and Louella Troutman.
He retired from the US Navy and then went on to be a shipyard welder. Mr. Bill coached girls’ softball, volunteered at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital, and volunteered as a jailhouse minister.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Denise Troutman, and his siblings; Brook Troutman, Beverly Troutman, and Betty Baker.
William leaves to cherish his memories his three children; Julie Melvin Chesapeake VA; Fritz Troutman of Chesapeake VA, and Jeff Troutman, of Erie, and his grandchildren; Kevin Troutman, Keith Armagost, and Katie Haymaker, and sisters Bonnie Oaks and Barb Remington.
A visitation will be held on November 11, 2022 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm follow by a Celebration of Life in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502. William will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
