Winifred Garson Boothe, Jr.

Garson was born in Dunoon, Argyll, Scotland on July 9, 1966. He was preceded in death by his father, Winifred Garson Boothe, a sister Tammy Denise Boothe and a brother William Scott Boothe.

Garson graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and loved his job as a brick mason at Top Notch Masonary Company where he worked for many years. He formerly attended South Boston Church of God, on Halifax Road in South Boston, Virginia.

Survivors include his mother, Hallie Louise Bowman Wykes; step-father Willam D. Wykes both of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother Dennis Ray Boothe of Chesapeake, VA; a step brother Brian Wykes of Richmond, VA and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Garson’s Life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, 6:00 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3, 3:00 p.m. at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Honorary pallbearers will be David Pittman, Michael Beavers, Charlie Beavers, Lyons Query, Jr., and Ronnie Ling.
