On May 12, 1962, she married Howard Dee Cordell in Norman, Oklahoma. Howard preceded her in death on February 28, 2002.
Alecia is survived by her sons, Kris H. Cordell and wife Marta, and Eric J. Cordell and wife Kristine; her sisters, Judy D. Hames and husband Larry of Norman, and Diane Scott of Norman; and three grandchildren, Jackson, Zoe, and Joseph Cordell.
Alecia was preceded in death by her husband Howard Cordell; son Richard D. Cordell, and brothers Bruce Shobert and Kendall Shobert.
A private service in Alecia’s honor is being held on a date in the near future.
