Alton “Buddy” Parr, 76, of Noble, OK, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in Norman, Oklahoma.
He was born September 22, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Alton Presley and Cora Ellen (Kinter) Parr. He married Mosslene Julia Lovell on December 16, 1959 in Oklahoma City. Buddy served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. He installed suspended ceilings until his retirement at the age of 65. His passion was his grandkids, his classic cars and attending car shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Marian Parr and four sisters, Alta Parr, Bonnie Beebe, Maxine Parr and Ida Belle Parr.
He is survived by his wife, Mosslene Parr of the home; two sons, David Doyle and wife Marketta of Noble, Oklahoma, Randy Parr and wife Barbara of Norman Oklahoma; one daughter, Starla Foster and husband Joe of Noble; one sister, Mary Ellen Foster of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Kristin Sprague, Preston Choate, Megan Foster, Shelby Parr, Rebekah Parr and Paige Foster and three great grandchildren.
