Barbara Jean Halstead, 70, stepped peacefully into her eternal life on July 13, 2010 after a long illness. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church at 1:00 pm. Barbara was born at home in the Turtle Mountains of North Dakota on August 15, 1939. She lived the first half of her life in the Minneapolis, MN area, then for several years in Rock Springs, WY, and finally retiring to Norman, Oklahoma in 2001. She is preceded in death by parents, Hazel & Lester and first grandson, Paul William Just. She is survived by her children: Ronald Wise (Ivonne), Kelly Barrett (Jim), Tara Koetter (Kenny), Paula Green (Michael), Robert Yone Halstead (Deanna), stepdaughter Roxanne Gorton (Jay). Grandchildren: Matthew Just, Rachel, Erik, Ashley & Sarah Barrett, Jason Barton, Nicole Barton Baier, Andie Grace & John Koetter, Erin, Mitchell, & Jonathan Green, Alyssa Halstead, Jamie & Simone Gorton. Eight precious great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Sisters: Sonja Barton, Linda Amundson, Sharon Olson, Tammy Schell.
