Barbara went to school through the 10th grade. She lived in Dallas, Texas, Noble, and Norman, Oklahoma for most of her life. Her favorite color is blue, and her perfect day is Christmas with her cat. One of Barbara‘s personal and professional accomplishments is retiring from the University of Oklahoma. She is part of the Beth Haven Baptist Church group. Barbara married Warren Taylor on December 24, 1963. They spent 35 years together. She later married Wesley Byrd on July 10, 2020, who precedes her in death.
Barbara is preceded in death by Wesley Byrd, her parents Drew and Avinell Colwell, son Mark Lee Taylor, and brother; Winford Colwell.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her sons; Todd Allen Taylor, of Tulsa Oklahoma, Douglas Scott Taylor, of St. Louis Missouri, and a granddaughter, Alia Page Taylor.
A graveside service for Barbara will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Noble IOOF Cemetery, 8399 Main St, Noble, OK 73068.
