Betty Jean Allen

Betty Jean Allen, 81, of Norman, died in Midwest City, Oklahoma on September 29, 2012. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday October 3, 2012 at the Southgate Pentecostal Holiness Church of Moore, 206 S. Janeway Ave., Moore OK., 73160. Interment will follow at the Norman IOOF Cemetery. The family will have visitation on Tuesday from 12:00PM - 8:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service.

Betty was born on July 2, 1931 to Eugene Harry and Eula Marie (Reynolds) Breedlove in Norman, Oklahoma. Betty went to school in a one room school house called Robinson School and then later went to Moore Public Schools. She lived in California for a few years but returned to Oklahoma and lived here since.

Betty was a homemaker for most of her life and also spent some of her time working as a baker’s assistant at a local bakery. She was a longtime member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved to sew and embroider, she turned her passion for sewing into a job and worked as a seamstress; she was an avid cook and enjoyed canning, garden and recently she began collecting Angels and already has developed a large collection.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Boyd Wayne Schwartz and Wendell Leroy Schwartz; Husband, Steve Drunkard; Husband, Henry Allen; Brother, Jessie Lee Breedlove; Sister, Ruth Jones and her parents.

She is survived by her son; Darrell Schwartz and his wife Mary of Norman; Brother, Bob Breedlove and his wife Barbara of Norman; Brother, Paul Breedlove and his wife Wanda of Maysville; Sister, Rachel Spaulding and her husband Pat of Norman; Brother Danny Breedlove and his wife Carolyn of Ft. Worth, Texas; Sister, Mary Brooks and her husband James of Norman; stepchildren and step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was an excellent mom and always put her family first and loved them very much.
