

Services for Bonnie Bess Graham McIntosh, 93 of Norman will be 10:45 AM Thursday, February 16 at the Westside Church of Christ with Mr. Leon Dennis officiating. The family wishes to invite all friends to come to the service at 10AM for visitation and refreshments. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
Mrs. McIntosh died Monday, February 13 at her home in Norman.
She was born June 27, 1918 to Sam Houston and Bonnie Tybell (Lindley) Graham in Peerless, Texas. After the death of her mother, she moved to Madill, OK where she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Milam and Edna Ewing. She graduated from high school in Madill, Oklahoma and was a graduate of East Texas State Teacher’s College in Commerce, Texas. Mrs. McIntosh taught school in Peerless, Texas. She married Bill McIntosh in Paris, Texas shortly before he entered to US Army during WWll. They were happily married for 63 years. During that time they traveled and moved around the world making many lifelong friends along the way. She and Bill were generous financial donors and supporters of many charitable causes, included the creation of an endowed scholarship at Oklahoma Christian University. To honor their generosity and commitment to education, and helping others, the McIntosh Conservatory at Oklahoma Christian was named for Bill and Bonnie in 1999. She enjoyed antique shopping, travelling, decorating, art and architecture. She lived in Brazil, London, Mexico City, Indianapolis, Indiana and Oklahoma City. Mrs. McIntosh was a longtime member of the Church of Christ and attended the Mayfair Church of Christ in Oklahoma City and the Westside Church of Christ in Norman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her aunt and uncle; and her husband, William Edward McIntosh, Jr.
Mrs. McIntosh is survived by her treasured friend and family member, Delfina Morales of the home; her son, Michael Edward McIntosh and his wife, Jenna of Norman; she is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Edward McIntosh, Jr.; Karen McIntosh; Jenny McIntosh Flax and her husband, Troy all of Norman; Stephenie Bentley Freeman and her husband, Derek of California; eight great-grandchildren, Sam Houston Graham Flax of The Bronx, New York; Abbey Flax, William Flax, Jack Flax, Ali McIntosh, Michael Edward McIntosh III all of Norman; Bentley Freeman & Palmer Freeman of California; bother-in-law, John Morris McIntosh and his wife, Lois of Longview, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
The family is grateful for the loving care Bonnie received from all of her caregivers over the last 6 years.
