Brian was born in Euclid, Ohio on April 10, 1975, the second child of Barry and Kate. He, and his brother, Christopher, had an adventurous childhood as the family moved often following his father's work. Brian shared with his father a passion for automobiles and racing radio controlled cars. While he won numerous trophies for radio controlled car racing, one of his proudest moments, was developing a motor for the RC cars that is still used today. And, while he was too modest to talk about it, his skateboarding skills are, nonetheless, legendary.
He attended Jenks High School, where he graduated in 1993. Earning a National Merit scholarship, Brian went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science at the University of Oklahoma. While enrolled at OU, he met the love of his life, Kim. Married on August 8, 1998, their marriage was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Eliza McKinley, in 2003 and their son, Carson Patrick, in 2011.
After college he began his career with Boise Cascade, working briefly in sales before being promoted to a Trainer position, and later to Marketing Analyst. Subsequently, Boise Cascade became Office Max and Brian had recently been promoted to Senior Marketing Analyst for the company.
Brian had a passion for playing the guitar. Beginning to teach Liza to play, was a joy that filled part of his life. Watching him play the guitar, with Liza strumming the cords and Carson lending his voice as he sang along to "Pinkle Pinkle Little Star" is a most cherished memory. Brian, also, loved the outdoors, and found joy in camping, mountain climbing, and hiking. He accomplished climbing 14 of Colorado's 14,000+ ft. mountains, commonly referred to as "14ers." Hunting with his father-in-law, Curtis, was another activity he truly enjoyed. Brian was also an accomplished photographer, with prints of his work displayed both publically and privately.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Kim, and their two beautiful children, Eliza and Carson. Also, his parents, Barry and Kate Doyle, and parents-in-law, Curtis and Marsha Johnston, brother, Christopher Doyle, and wife, Jennifer, sister-in-law, Kristin Del Nero, and husband, Phillip, and their children, Kyle and Anthony, and a large extended family and special friends.
Brian enriched the lives of everyone he met, and we are all the better for having the gift of him touch our lives. We are forever thankful for the time we had with him and the memories that will carry us forward.
