Carl was born November 6, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Elsie (Johnson) and Harry Branton. An Oklahoman his entire life, Carl was proud to call Norman, Oklahoma home.
Carl earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He went on to serve his country in the United States Navy.
Carl married Lisa Carver September 2, 1984 and the two were blessed with two children Lauren and Ross as well as five grandchildren.
Carl worked over 40 years in the pipeline field as an engineer / estimator. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed grilling, fishing, woodworking, watching NASCAR and OU football. Whether he was working with his hands, spending time outdoors, or gathered around the grill, Carl appreciated the opportunity to enjoy life and the people around him.
Carl will be remembered by his family and friends who knew and loved him. His life was marked by the many relationships he built, the things he created with his own hands, and the memories he leaves behind.
Carl is survived by his wife of 41 years Lisa Branton; daughter Lauren Foreman and husband John; son Ross Branton and wife Rachel; grandchildren Alan and Elsie Foreman and Reed, Bennett, and Hollis Branton; sister Harriet Archer; along with his extended family and friends.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents Elsie and Harry Branton; and brother Stan Branton.
