Carrie Grisham Welles, 63, passed away on August 15, 2024 at home. Carrie loved her flower gardens, traveling, pet sitting, softball, especially the OU Women’s Softball Team, and jigsaw puzzles. She graduated from Bethany Nazarene College with an Associate’s degree in Secretarial Science in 1981.
Carrie is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Don Grisham and Joyce Hames Grisham. She is survived by her loving sister Gayle Grisham Enouen of Norman, uncle Gary Grisham of Norman; aunts Linda Huddleston of Noble and Peggy Hames of Fort Worth, Texas. Brother and sister in-law, Tim and Kelly Welles of Knoxville, TN; nephew and niece Timothy Welles and Emily Welles of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by many cousins and friends, including best friends Lisa Meyer of Etowah, and Phyllis Holloway-West of Lexington.
There will be an open casket visitation at Primrose Funeral Service, located at 1109 N Porter Ave., Norman, Oklahoma on Tuesday August 20th from 4-8 o’clock with a closed casket funeral the following day August 21st at 10 o’clock also at Primrose Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Norman IOOF Cemetery.
