

Charles K. Spears was born on October 23, 1940 in the town of Corrigan, Texas. Following high school, Charles joined the United States Air Force where
He served our country for 20 years and retired as a Senior Master Sargent. Charles is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned
several medals and loved his country. Throughout his time in the military, Charles alongside his wife and children traveled the world to
places such as Thailand, Spain, Mississippi, Texas, New York and Washington. Throughout his time in the service, he also obtained his
Masters Degree in Human Resources. Following his service to our country, he then went on to serve the Lord as a Southern Baptist
Preacher in Texas and Oklahoma. Charles loved traveling, woodworking, computers, serving his country, God and more importantly his family.
Charles loved the family dinners where he would sit back and listen to his grand daughters talk and always get a kick out of something funny
that one of them said or listening to their stories.
Mr. Spears is survived by his wife, Juanita, three children: Kelton and his spouse Edna, Bryan and his spouse Monica, and daughter Tanya.
He also leaves behind four granddaughters, Stephanie Plummer and spouse Ronnie, Kristine Wiggins and spouse Johnny, Kalee Spears and Jessica
Spears. He is also survived by two brothers, Roland and wife Bettye, Drew and spouse Linda, and sister Virginia Haynes. He is preceded in
death by his father Edward Kelton Spears and his mother Thelma Christine Spears.
Charles was an amazing man, husband, dad, grandpa, soldier and friend. The family has had the honor of seeing him love his wife Juanita
unconditionally throughout 55 years of marriage. We have had the honor of sitting by his side throughout family vacations, family reunions,
church services and much more.
Services will be held Thursday September 17, 2015, at 10:00 am at First
Baptist Church of Moore, Oklahoma and will be laid to rest at Sunset
Memorial Park on Indian Hills and Sooner Road in Norman, Oklahoma.
There is a viewing at Primrose Funeral Home in Norman, Oklahoma on
Wednesday September 16, 2015, from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory at MD Anderson – Kidney Research, 18100 Saint John Drive, # 150, Houston, Texas 77058
