

Cynthia Sue Cashman was born on February 25, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Sue (Evertson) Rayl. She grew up in Tulsa and Broken Arrow, attending Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from Union High School in 1973. She then furthered her education that same year at the University of Oklahoma, where she met her future husband John. She earned her Bachelors, Masters, and Doctors Degrees in Education Technology from O.U., while raising a family. She taught Educational Technology at O.U., O.C.C.C., and Emporia State in Emporia, KS. She owned and operated Breakaway Interactive, an instructional design company in Norman for 12 years. Her latest endeavor was owner and operator of Be Wild Art in Norman. She enjoyed traveling with husband John, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of forty years, John Cashman of the home; one daughter, Jessica Allen and husband Matt of Keller, Texas; one son Zac Cashman and wife Desiree of Norman, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kyle and Beck Allen of Keller, Texas, and Brynlee Cashman of Norman, Oklahoma; and one brother Charlie Rayl of Norman, Oklahoma.
