David (Dave) Frank Brady, 84, died at home in Oklahoma City on March 16, 2022, from a sudden heart attack.
David was born at home in Eufaula, OK, on April 14, 1937, to Carl Jackson and Beryl Lucille (Creech) Brady. Coming fifth in a line of six with three older brothers gave Dave many stories to share at family gatherings later.
How does one know where choices will lead? David left high school and joined the Air Force at 17. His Air Force training in electronics and radio led him to Oklahoma State University, a degree in electrical engineering and eventually his Professional Engineering certification. Serving at various locations in the United States and abroad led him toward a desire to travel and see the world. Before attending Oklahoma State David chose Southeastern State College as a transition point, and there he met his future wife, Verona. Dave's love of history (emphasis on The Civil War) led to discovering an ancestor who fought in that war; opened the door to one of his most time consuming retirement activities - Genealogy.
Dave enjoyed his career years working for several engineering, consulting, design and public utility companies. The decision to answer an ad in "The National Geographic"magazine" led to his greatest venture of all- a fifteen year stint with ARAMCO (Arabian American Oil Company). His love for travel was finally fulfilled.
Many years of study, participation, fellowship and charitable giving through his membership in Masonic Lodges and the Shrine located in Oklahoma, Saudi Arabia and Germany were among Dave's proud accomplishments. The year he served as Worshipful Master in Nejma lodge in Saudi Arabia gave him much joy and sense of accomplishment. Life time friendships were forged in those :fraternal organizations.
Family, friends, love of country, charity, the USO, American Legion, Masonic fellowships, church, charity, big band music, jazz, genealogy, family. Say the words, and you say the man. He was quiet spoken and humble - intelligent with a wry and sometimes wicked sense of humor - well read (a deliberate reader who recalled content extensively) -unassuming and generous beyond belief.
David was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, relative to extended family and friend to many. He deeply loved his family, provided for them generously and was
very proud of their accomplishments. He derived great joy, pride and satisfaction in rearing a great granddaughter. The absence of his quiet, constant and protective presence leaves us with a void too deep to fill.
David is survived by his wife, Verona (great granddaughter, Alaina), of the home. Son, Shaun (granddaughter, Caitlin) of Oklahoma City.
Daughter, Cydney (Mike) Lesniak of Chino Valley, AZ (granddaughter, Melissa Smith of Phoenix, AZ).
Daughter, Allyson (Al) Garnand (grandchildren, Nicholas, Ileana, Isabella, and Julian) of Murphy, TX.
Brother, Richard (Janet) Brady and their daughters: Lynn, Connie and Christine of Albuquerque, NM,
Great grand children : Michele, Saria, Carsten and Dax of Piedmont, OK. Sisters in Law, Shirley Rice and Kay Brown.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Beryl Brady. Brothers, James and Jack Brady.

"A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong." -Unknown
