I do remember Delbert from when I was young, I'm Barbara and Norman Umbarger oldest son. Even though I was young I remember that he was a very kind, peaceful, and intelligent. He has always been one of my special memories.

Delbert was an amazing Christian example for all who knew him. He was also the absolute example of a gentleman and respectful husband. I will miss his smile and great humor. He and Wanda are such a beautiful example of how people should treat each other and their love for each other and others is always so apparent for all to see. He will be greatly missed. See you in Heaven sweet Brother Delbert.

My prayers are with your family, as I share your loss of Delbert. He was a very kind and gentle man.
Considerate of others before himself... always. Consistently an encourager and sincere friend.
An example of Christ's love among us. I will miss his smile and friendship.

I always remember Uncle Delbert smiling and being so cordial to everyone he met! I will miss that wonderful smile! I also always was impressed with the love he and Aunt Wanda had for each other all these 59 years! Holding hands like teenagers! Such an inspiration to all of us!
