

high school in Tyrone, she worked as a telephone operator before attending nursing school on Long Island, New York where she met Arnold Ernest Dihrberg Jr., who she married
on November 25, 1951 and who predeceased her after 59 years of marriage. After raising their two children, she attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook where
she received a Bachelor's Degree in English. She then taught English in middle school, high school, and community colleges in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia for
several years. Prior to moving to Norman she lived in Tennessee.
Dolores will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, and dear friend. A woman of many interests, she loved to camp, hike and backpack when she was younger, and
loved to read, watch birds, collect stamps, and cook for family and friends. She especially loved to play games such as cards and Mahjong. She was a talented artist
who won ribbons for her watercolor paintings at state fairs. Every year she painted Christmas cards which were cherished by the friends and family who received them.
Dolores' other creative activities included making miniature houses and furniture, knitting, and crocheting. She was an avid New York Mets fan for many years. She spent
her last years in Norman, where she was a longtime member of the Norman Stamp Club and active in Norman Newcomers.
She is survived by her son Edward and daughter Lora; grandchildren Alexander, Natalia, and Shannon; great grandson Jayden, her brother Harry, and many nieces and nephews.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
