Donald was born on August 12, 1954, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to Donald Charles Patterson and Nina Fern Curtis. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and later completed his Master's degree online while proudly serving in the U.S. Army. After 14 years of dedicated military service, he was honorably discharged with the rank of Major.
Throughout his life, Donald embraced adventure and discovery, living in 14 different U.S. states as well as in Stuttgart and Pirmasens, West Germany. He had a deep appreciation for music, especially folk guitar, and found joy in spending time with friends and living life to the fullest.
Donald is survived by his brother, David L. Patterson, and his wife, Debbie, of Norman, Oklahoma.
