Dorothy Jean Schneringer was born in Norman, Oklahoma on July 24, 1931. She was the daughter of Mary and Ora Todd, also of Norman, who have both since passed away. Dorothy married the love of her life, Ralph Schneringer, on April 5, 1952. She raised three beautiful daughters, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and one great-dog. She spent her life as a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She took excellent care of her husband during his lengthy battle with cancer until his death in 2001. She never stopped loving or missing him every day of her life. Dorothy survived breast cancer and ovarian cancer, and battled stomach cancer until the Lord called her home on July 15, 2018 at 1:38 am. She was 86 years old.
Dorothy Jean Schneringer was an incredible example of Christ's love, and everyone was always accepted with open arms and left with a full belly when they visited her home. She loved angels, wind-chimes, and birdwatching while sitting on the front porch. She enjoyed spending time watching TV game shows and Country Vet show called “The Incredible Dr. Pol." And, when OU or the OKC Thunder were on, she never missed a game.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Scott, her daughter Janie and her husband, Danny Martin, her daughter, Judy Schneringer and boyfriend, Phil Pate, her granddaughters, Debi Scott, her spouse, Jay Robinson, and their four children, Julie Scott and her dog, Bizzy, and Angie Sessoms, her spouse, Will, and their four kids, her grandsons, Brian Martin, his wife, Joni, and their three kids, Mark Scott, his wife, Ashley, and Mark’s three kids, and Jordan Schneringer. She is also survived by her brother, Olan and his wife, Helen Todd, her brother, Orville, his wife, Beverly Todd, and their children, and her sister, Mary Francis, her husband, Billy Henry, and their children. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends.
