Edward “Eddie” L. Macias, of Norman, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the age of 60. He was born to Tilo and Janie (Montes) Macias on December 12, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas. Eddie attended Grabner Elementary and Burbank High School, and played the clarinet in the church choir as a teenager.
He entered the United States Navy in 1970 and serviced as an aircraft mechanic for 10 years. Eddie lived in Texas and California before moving to Oklahoma in 1980.
He is preceded in death by his parents Tilo and Janie Macias and one older brother Fernando Macias.
Edward is survived by two brothers Andrew and David Macias; children Yvette Rodriguez, Vincent Macias, Grace Macias, and Rhena Macias; grandchildren Jaime Rodriguez, Jazmin Rodriguez, Daizie Rodriguez, Lyrik Macias, Leyani Macias, Vincent Tyler Macias, Lacee Macias, and Kambree Macias; and 8 nieces and nephews.
