Elnora Brannon

Elnora was raised in the Oklahoma City and Norman area. She married Leon Brannon on March 15, 1945 in Oklahoma City. She worked for the Norman School system from 1962 to 1972 in the Central Kitchen. From 1972 to 1988 she was employed at the University of Oklahoma OCCE Commons Restaurant.

She was a faithful church member of Trinity Baptist until 1996 and the First Baptist Church from 1997 until now. She loved traveling to visit family and tent camping with loved ones or alone.

Elnora was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; her parents; brother, Charles Weeks, her sister Lorine (Jeanie) and husband Eugene Cambron; infant sisters, Gladys Marie and Mary Ethel; and a sister-in-law, Francis Weeks.

Elnora is survived by her children, Alvin and wife, Marilyn Brannon of Burkbernett, Texas, Ronald (Ronny) and wife, Tammie Brannon of Oklahoma City, Linda and husband, John Inman of Orlando, Florida, Barbara and husband David Lee of San Antonio, Texas, Cynthia and husband, Fred Avery of Norman, Susie and husband, Rodger Thaibult of Wedgefield, South Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother, Jasper (Gene) Weeks of Delton, Michigan, brother, Louis and wife Wyhletiah (Leta) Weeks of Maguire, brother, Jesse (Joe) and wife Sheryl Weeks of Oklahoma City; nieces and nephews too numerous to count.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Norman with burial to follow at Fairview Maguire Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Primrose Funeral Service. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday.
