Erma Lee Jupe

Erma Lee (Ellis) Jupe, age 91, of Norman, Oklahoma, formerly of West and Whitney, Texas passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, in Norman. Erma was born August 13, 1932, in Hillsboro, Texas, the daughter of D.W. and Marie (Fowler) Ellis.

She graduated from Abbott High School in 1950. On July 20, 1957, she was united in marriage to Ralph Jupe in West, TX. They spent 51 wonderful years together before Ralph’s passing on July 20, 2008. Erma loved being a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, sewing, playing piano, and listening to gospel and country music.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Jupe and her parents. Survivors include her son, Eldon Jupe and wife Johna of Norman, OK; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Daniel Jupe, wife Brittany and their daughter Abigail of Norman, OK; Douglas Jupe, wife Shannon, their daughters Heidi and Elsie and son Louis of Fort Collins, CO. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dolly Berry for her friendship to Erma and to the staff of Grace Living Center Norman, especially Donnie Pfaff for the kindness and care provided to Erma in recent years.

A memorial service will be held at Primrose Chapel on Saturday March 9 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Norman, OK - Early Learning Center or the charity of your choice.
