

Ethel Lee Robinson, the twelfth child and a twin was born to the union of the late Rosie Ellis and Will Brown on December 17, 1927, in Sallis, Mississippi. She was raised on a farm and was always surrounded and supported by her family when times were hard. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bunker Hill Baptist church in Sallis. She attended Bunker Hill school. Stricken with polio she remains faithful and was healed according to her faith.
Her mother gave her a love for cooking and her father taught her the art of gardening. Her favorite flowers were roses the color did not matter. In the 40’s she migrated north to Gary, Indiana after her parent’s passing then to Chicago where she gave birth to her first child Dorothy. She had several loving relationships that gave life to five more children before she married Will Robinson, Jr. in April 1963, one child came from this union Clarice Robinson in 1964. In 2002 she moved to Norman, Oklahoma to enjoy her senior years and extended family.
On Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 7.25 pm, Ethel Lee Robinson parted this life to begin her new life with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her sons, Bernard and Michael, her husband, parents, brothers and sisters. She leaves behind her daughters, Dorothy, Cathy, Brenda, Rochelle, and Clarice. Grandchildren: Maurice, Christine, Kimberly, Shauntell, Cynthia, Rodney, Chris, JR, Erika, Chris. Jeremy, Alyssa, TJ, Kalia, Nakiya Great-grand children: Patrick, Malisha, George, Gakirah Kevin, Kentrell, Darius, CJ, Miracle, Eva, A-Marie and host of relatives and friends.
