Eujean “Tim” Spencer was born on February 11, 1953, in Wilmington, Delaware, to William Spencer and Lillian Hope (Butler) Spencer. He passed away on September 16, 2025, in Oklahoma City, leaving behind a legacy of service, knowledge, and love for his family.
Tim proudly served in the United States Army, first from December 9, 1972, to December 3, 1974, and again from June 13, 1978, to February 4, 1981. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal and was recognized as a Marksman M-16 Rifle Sharpshooter. His service earned him the Hand Grenade National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
After living in Missouri and Kansas, Tim moved to Oklahoma in 1977, where he built a life filled with simple pleasures and meaningful connections. He loved listening to late 60s and 70s R&B, spending quiet days watching country westerns, and enjoying shows like Castle, Firefly, and Tombstone. Ice cream, orange soda, and root beer floats were among his favorite treats. Tim had a deep appreciation for cars, watching Street Outlaws or Ice Road Truckers never failed to make him laugh. He shared his mechanical skills with others, teaching how to change a tire, check oil, maintain brakes, and care for a car.
Above all, Tim treasured his family. He was a proud Pawpaw to his ten grandchildren, always cherishing the freedom to go anywhere at any time. His love and guidance will remain with them forever.
Tim is survived by his children, Marsha Yvette Spencer-Arbuckle of Houston, Texas; Erica Reshea Spencer of Yukon, Oklahoma; Nicole Hope Rodgers of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Denise Yvette Spencer of Denton, Maryland; his sister, Phyllis Spencer of Cheraw, South Carolina; and his ten beloved grandchildren: Maleah Arbuckle, Alan Arbuckle, Claire Sliger, Lazziert Gray, Za'Niya Spencer, Zakerah Mason, King Mason, Sha'Toya Wortham, Shayla Spencer, and Keenan Rodgers Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Andrea Dawn Sliger, and his brothers William Frank Spencer and Mott Spencer.
Services will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor Tim’s remarkable life and the freedom he so dearly loved.
