Forest Richard DeHaven, 76, passed away on October 11, 2013 in Norman. He was born in Logansport, Indiana to Forrest and Marie (Farrer) DeHaven on October 12, 1936. Richard is a US Navy veteran and belonged to Local Sheet Metal Workers #124. He was also a member of and helped start the Norman Roundup Club. He loved to visit garage sales all over the United States. Richard never left a garage sale emptied handed. He always had stuffed animals to bring home to his family. He also loved the outdoors, hunting especially. Yearly the family trips were revolved around his hunting trips in Colorado. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marie; son, James DeHaven; daughter, Rosanna DeHaven; grandchildren, Julie Billy and Amanda Harvey; great grandchildren, Jameson and Kailee Billy and Korbin Harvey; brother, Charlie DeHaven; sister, Myra Altice; nephew, Gordon DeHaven, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Primrose Funeral Service from 1 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Alameda Baptist Church, Norman, Oklahoma.
