Georgia Ann McGlone

Georgia graduated from Mara Coasta High School and began working as a Nurse’s Aide until she retired. In her spare time, she loved to cook, spend time with friends and family, and watch cowboy movies while drinking ice tea. Georgia lived in California and Oklahoma until moving to Newton, Kansas in 2009. Georgia was part of Church of Christ in Newton, Kansas.

On April 18, 1959, Georgia married the love of her life, Ural McGlone. They went on to have a wonderful 30 years of marriage before Ural’s passing on October 8, 1988. Together they raised Deanna, Donna, and Mary.

Georgia is preceded in death by her husband Ural McGlone, parents Lloyd Young and Dorothy Holdeman, brothers Marvin and Donnie Young, and son in law Delmar Nash.

Those left to cherish Georgia’s memory is daughter Deanna Kay Nash of Newton, Kansas; daughter Donna Karen Curtis (Loyd) of Muskogee, Oklahoma; daughter Mary Viola Graves (Steve) of Elmore, Oklahoma, sister Marlene K. Waddell (Rocky) of Enid, Oklahoma; sister Billie K. Grieshober (Kurt) of Enid, Oklahoma, sister in law Twila Young of Enid, Oklahoma; grandchildren Dustin Nash, Aletha Sivak, Amy Nash, Clint Graves, and Chelsey Murphy; ten great grandchildren, six nieces, six nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for Georgia will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with family there to greet guests at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Primrose Funeral Service.

Georgia will be laid to rest in Aline Star Cemetery, 56452 OK-8B, Aline, OK 73716.
