Harry was born August 25th 1925. He grew up in Seattle, rowing on Puget Sound and fishing for salmon.
He attended college at Cornell University in Ithaca , New York as well as the London School of Economics in London, England. He earned his Ph.D in Political Science, working as an Emeritus Professor at Oklahoma University for a career of some 30 years.
His book, Bad Times for Good Ole Boys, earned critical acclaim in the early 90’s for covering the County Commissioner scandal in the 1980’s.
Harry loved the outdoors and could be seen bicycling daily to his office on campus as well as walking his dog.
He is survived by his daughter Linda, her husband Micheal McAnally, two siblings, Diana and Scott, as well as two grandsons, Austin and Lucas Holloway.
