

Helen I. Pamintuan, 86, Norman, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Goodrich United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
She was born January 13, 1926, to Atty Emiliano Pamintuan, Sr. and Maxima Isip Pamintuan in Pampanga, Philippines. Helen graduated from the Philippine General Hospital School of Nursing, received a BS in Nursing at Vanderbilt University and a MS in Psychiatric Nursing at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.
She taught in numerous universities including the OU Health Sciences Center. Lastly, she was involved in training and continuing education of the Mental Health Department at Griffin Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Goodrich Memorial Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Christ United Methodist Women and was treasurer for many years until her death. She joined church groups that did mission work in Alaska and Mexico. She also continued the mission work of her mother in the Philippines.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Anita; her brother, Atty Emiliano Pamintuan Jr. and wife Linda of Manila, Philippines; nephews, Michael Galura and wife Sandra, Martz Galura and wife Melanie, Daniel Pamintuan, Arnold Pamintuan; nieces, Marissa Agcaoili and husband Francis, Diana Lim; grandniece, Aleshia Maldonado and husband Lorenzo, grandnephews, Andrew Galura and Jacob Galura and many loving relatives and friends.
