He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Juanita Wampler.

Mike was born in Oklahoma City, December 22, 1944. He attended Jefferson Elementary, Central Mid-High, and Norman High School. Mike was a member of the Army National Guard from July of 1964 until July of 1970. He was honorably discharged on July 14, 1970.

Mike and Cindy met in Norman, on a blind date, although she still lived in Texas at the time. Happily, this was one of the few times a Texan and an Okie came together. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Stephenson Cancer Center, 800 N.E. 10th St., Oklahoma City Oklahoma.
