Ima Jeane Keester, 100, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 24, 2014. She was born on July 20, 1914 in Iowa Park, TX. She married Donald William Keester on February 6, 1944. They celebrated 51 years together. Ima was a long-time resident of Norman and a member of McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church.
Ima was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents, Joseph and Margaret (Barton) Smith; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her son, Don Keester (Pam) of Norman; daughter, Wanda Rinderer (Lloyd) of FL; grandchildren: Karen Keester of Norman, David Keester (Tricia) of Chickasha, Christina Marshall (Aaron) of FL, Cynthia Crabtree (Jeff) of FL; great grandchildren: Nate Stanberry, Amara Marshall, Jeffrey Crabtree, Cheyenne Crabtree; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ima was blessed with an exceedingly long and happy life. “Daughter of God.”
Visitation will be held Sunday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral ceremony will be held 10:00 am Monday, December 29 in the Primrose chapel.
